There is a girl going door to door with an art portfolio asking people for their opinion on her art work. She has several people waiting around the corner in a silver mini van with the license plate TX 515 PRK. According to the police, it is a rental. She cases houses and if the coast is clear, a break-in subsequently follows. The group was recently seen in Munger Place. Call 911 if you see anything suspicious. They may have changed rental vehicles.

Packs of Dogs Terrorize Neighborhood

A pack of dogs has been terrorizing the neighborhoods of East Dallas. Last week, two dogs were seen on Dumont. They had trapped something underneath a car and were waiting to attack. The two dogs were described as being a small to medium long-haired black dog and a small to medium tan short-haired dog. Animal control was called but was not able to catch them. Two neighborhood cats were killed in this vicinity two weeks ago. If at all possible, bring your pets in during the night. These dogs can be dangerous.

Docents Needed for Swiss Avenue Tour

A home in the Junius Heights Historic District, 5450 Gaston Avenue, will be included in the Swiss Avenue Tour of Homes on Mother’s Day Weekend, May 12, 13. The Swiss Avenue HD is including this historic house on their tour because they would like to spotlight a home in the newly created JHHD and to show that preservation extends across established historic districts. We are all very grateful to the people on Swiss Avenue for their support in the creation of the Junius Heights Historic District and
their continued encouragement.

We need docents for this event. It would be great if volunteers from JHHD could staff this event! If you can help, please contact Marsue Williams at Marsue@touchstonerealty.com. Thank you!!
